Smart upselling: the system will automatically select what to offer with the order

A drink with your pizza, a card with your bouquet, a sauce with your appetizers—now you can set these up automatically, without manual configuration for each item. Customers will immediately see what else they might want to add, and you'll increase your sales.

Recommendations are generated separately for each branch, taking into account its own catalog. Everything you've already set up manually will be preserved: the system will add new links to your existing ones, not replace them.

There are three strategies—choose the one that fits your situation

1. Based on sales statistics—when the branch already has accumulated orders

The system analyzes what customers at this branch most often buy together and offers these combinations as upsells. For example, if customers often buy craft wrapping with peonies, it will be suggested with every peony bouquet.

Orders from the past month are taken into account. No AI is used here. For a new branch, this option won't work yet: without orders, there's nothing for the system to analyze.

2. AI recommendations—launch upselling with no preparation

The AI studies the branch's catalog: product names, descriptions, and categories—and decides on its own what goes well together. For example, if you add tom yum to the menu, the AI will recognize it as a spicy soup and suggest rice and a cold drink with it, even if no one has ordered this soup yet.

No order history is needed, and you don't have to write any instructions. Just enable the strategy. This is convenient if you've just opened or aren't sure yet what to offer with your products.

3. AI prompt—if you want to set your own rules

Tell the AI what to suggest with what, and it will select products according to your rules. For example:

  • For food delivery: “For main hot dishes, suggest drinks from the catalog: for spicy dishes—cold and dairy drinks, for light dishes—tea or coffee. Do not suggest items from the same category as the dish itself.”
  • For flower delivery: “For bouquets, suggest wrapping, a card, and cut flower care products. For potted plants—planters, soil, and fertilizer. Do not suggest a second bouquet with a bouquet.”

This way, you explain to the system which combinations suit your business and what should not be suggested. The rule will apply to the entire network, but each branch will receive recommendations from its own catalog.

How to enable?

Go to “Settings” → “Catalog” → “Upselling” and click “Automation”. Choose a strategy and turn on the toggle. The setting will take effect across the entire network immediately.

You can then update or remove recommendations:

  • Recalculate recommendations—with the "Update recommendations" button. This is useful if you've added new products to the catalog, changed the prompt, or want to include recent orders. For AI strategies, two updates per branch per month are available.
  • Delete everything added by automation—with a single button for the selected branch. Manual links will be preserved.

Note that the system will add no more than five recommendations to a single product. There will still be no more than twenty upsell items displayed on the storefront.
